Rugs are so essential to a home– they bring color, warmth, and character to any space! I get more rug questions than anything! Where did I buy them, what color, what size, durability, and most importantly, would I recommend them?
Sharing My Favorite Rugs in Our Home
Family Room
Pottery Barn Chunky Wool/Jute Rug in a 10×14 in color natural. I can’t say enough good things about this quality rug. I.LOVE.THIS.RUG. One of my all-time favorites.
I recommend this rug to anyone who asks. It is surprisingly soft underfoot and holds up so well to daily life, which is definitely a plus when it comes to choosing a rug. It has a wool jute blend and is not at all scratchy and bonus, it doesn’t shed! This rug is made with renewable natural fibers which gives it so much texture, and it’s a perfect neutral color that could work in many different spaces! If you want a little extra cushion then you can always add a rug pad underneath. It’s the perfect neutral rug for a living room but it could also work just as well in a dining room!
Loft
Serena & Lily Ryder Denim Rug in an 8×10. LOVE this rug. It’s gorgeous with varying shades of blue and amazing texture. And yes, you can vacuum it – goldfish crumbs and all! It’s the perfect foundation piece to elevate any space with a touch of coastal style but also comfortable & stylish.
My Master Bedroom
Loloi Rug in an 8×11. I get a ton of questions on the color of this one. It has shades of blues, silver, slate, and taupe colors – it has a vintage flair but overall this area rug’s color palette really adds warmth to this space. It’s super thin and could easily be layered over bedroom carpet. This is a sure win for a pretty & super affordable rug – and bonus, it goes on sale often right here!
Sunroom
Pottery Barn Finn Rug in an 8×10. Another absolute favorite! This 100% pure wool rug adds style and warmth to our sunroom. The tones are subtle and soft with pretty shades of blue, gray, and tan, giving it a vintage, global appeal! If you can’t tell, Pottery Barn is one of my preferred places to buy rugs, whether it’s indoor or outdoor!
Bathroom
Last but definitely not least is my Caitlin Wilson bathroom runner. Possibly my absolute favorite rug ever. The colors are just so pretty, it’s the perfect addition to my mostly white bathroom. It’s a bit of a splurge, but trust me this rug is worth it! A bathroom is typically a place you’d want to add machine washable rugs, but as long as you can clean them in other ways then they’re always a nice touch to that space.
