So I’m super excited to be joining some amazing accounts for this Beautiful Bedrooms Tour. If you’re coming from Laura at www.meaningfulspaces.com welcome and thanks for stopping by! I was so excited to join as I feel I’ve made some great progress in our master bedroom from when we first moved in. There are a few items we’re still in need of but like all things, it’s always better to be patient and select the perfect pieces for your space than make a rushed decision just to get it done quick…even though it’s tempting!

So I always find a good place to start when designing a space is the rug. It’s such a focal point, and can definitely change the feel of your space depending on the pattern, texture, etc. I just recently purchased this rug and absolutely love its faded look and muted colors. Its super soft underfoot and the price wasn’t crazy for a 8×11.

We also purchased this bed and switched it out for our previous grey upholstered headboard. I love how the color of the wood adds a little warmth to the room, and gives it a little coastal vibe with the rattan detailing. I bought this gorgeous linen bedding which adds to that airy feel we try to carry throughout our home. I was super nervous about wrinkles with the linen, but I’ve found that I actually love the pretty texture the linen creates.

I saw these nightstands used on Instagram and immediately fell in love with their open look and size. They create a perfect place to keep necessities like phones, books, or let’s get real…a big glass of wine, but also allow for some pretty styling! Linking all these decor items below, as well as these fun lamps!

I personally love the look of layered window treatment, so I did a linen panel as well as a woven wood roman shade for more privacy if needed. And let’s not forget about one of my favorite parts, that gorgeous juju hat! It adds so much interest and texture, and I’m loving it as a focal above our bed! I originally bought it for my daughter’s room, but may have stolen it when I saw how pretty it was!

I knew I wanted a gallery wall somewhere in my home, and this empty wall in my master seemed like the perfect place. It also happens to be on my side of the bed, and I so love waking up to my family’s smiling faces everyday! These gold frames are so pretty and also super reasonable. And huge thank you to my husband for doing all the measuring to get this wall just right!

We still have a few items on the old to do list. I adore these pretty pillows, but still playing to find that perfect combo now that we’ve settled on a rug. I also need a new hanging fixture, so I’m debating on a couple options. Finally my husband is desperate for a settee at the foot of the bed, which is proving to be difficult to find one that doesn’t break the bank. We love family movie nights which usually happen here and involve 4 kiddos and 2 adults. Somehow he’s usually the one without a spot on the bed, so he’s anxious to get some extra seating in here! I look forward to sharing more updates hopefully in the near future!

Realizing I forgot to share my bedroom paint color. It’s Benjamin Moore Gray Owl, halved to 50%. Don’t forget to continue on the tour, and head over to see Kelly’s beautiful bedroom at thegreenspringhome.com. Enjoy!!

  1. The bedroom looks just wonderful and I love it! I love everything – the style, the colours, the details.

  2. I love that rug! How thick is it? Do you use a rug pad? I’m thinking of doing a runner in my kitchen but I’m worried whether it will move around too much since it looks a little thin!

  3. Love it! It feels very collected and curated and the gallery wall is simple but totally beautiful!

  4. I love everything about your bedroom!! The side tables are my favorite!

  5. Your bedroom is beautiful, just like the rest of your home! I love those nightstands! I have been on the hunt for some and those are perfect!

  6. Your bedroom is beautiful and such an inviting space. I love the gallery wall and the frames you chose are perfect. So nice to add a personal touch to any room.
