Christmas Home Tour 2019 – Our Winter Wonderland

Happy Friday everyone! So excited to be kicking off another fun festive filled weekend with the kiddos! Also today is the last day of a super beautiful Christmas home tour with so many amazing bloggers, and I’m sharing all my Christmas decor details!

If you’re here visiting from KariAnne at Thistlewood Farms welcome! Wasn’t her tour just so beautiful!? I don’t think I ever get sick of gorgeous holiday decor!

So since there is so much to cover, let’s get right to it! This year I stuck with my love for all things neutral just brining in fresh greenery whenever possible. My idea was to create a beautiful winter wonderland with hints of soft blush hues.

You might think that keeping things neutral year after year may get boring, but after looking at last year’s Christmas tour even I was amazed how differently things looked from last year and how much I love this look!

Front Door

I changed things up at my front door thing year, starting with a pretty outdoor rug (I always use 3×5) with this fun holiday doormat which is currently on major sale right now.

I couldn’t resist these cute buckets that say “Cedar Kindling”…kinda perfect considering my blog is Life on Cedar Lane. I pulled out my favorite faux wreath from last year. The best part of using faux is you can reuse year after year! Don’t forget some festive bells and a cute ribbon bow!

I also brought out a faux tree with some twinkly lights, and finished the whole setup off with some fresh cedar garland from a local garden store!

Entryway

I kept my entryway decor simple by simple adding these cute vine trees that light up, and some simple faux stems. I added a little blush throughout my decor this year so I saw these mini ornaments at Target and thought they’d be perfect here!

Kitchen

Moving into my kitchen, which I always love decorating because we spend so much time in this space around the holidays! Instead of the mini wreaths I’ve used in the past, I found these faux stems and simply hung them from a blush velvet ribbon.

Above my hood I also added the prettiest faux eucalyptus garland, paired with my favorite Christmas Sign. A cute little faux tree and a yummy Christmas candle on my island tray, and boom instant Christmas!

Living Room

Across the way in my living room. I’ll start with my mantle decor. I found the most amazing faux garland this year, and layered it with with a beaded strand and this fun jingle bell garland.

I absolutely love my knit stockings, and the pretty texture they bring to my mantle. And the warmth from these distressed wood trees, so simple but the perfect festive touch.

We have to talk about the star of the show, my insanely gorgeous King of Christmas Queen Flock tree. This tree is such a beauty, I intentionally kept my tree decor simple and muted and just let the tree shine!

Sunroom

Speaking of beautiful trees let’s move on to my sunroom. I’ve always wanted a more sparse tree and in this smaller space it makes for the most beautiful focal point!

Staircase

My Christmas home tour would not be complete with sharing my beautiful fresh garland on my staircase. This may actually be my favorite touch of Christmas in my home.

It requires a little bit of effort to first soak (to help it keep that fresh look longer), dry out and then fasten to the staircase…but once it’s up it’s SO worth it! I add in some fresh eucalyptus as well, and the same velvet ribbon I used in my kitchen.

After decking out my downstairs, I of course had to add some festive touches upstairs as well. Simple touches like bottlebrush trees in my kid’s rooms and our upstairs loft bring a little Christmas magic to each space.

Master Bedroom

And similar to last year I put our other King of Christmas tree in our master bedroom. I know three trees may seem excessive, but once you put a tree in your bedroom there is no going back. There is something so magical about falling asleep to twinkly lights!

Above our bed I swapped out our pretty juju hat for a faux wreath. Such a simple update, but makes for such a fun Christmas accent in our bedroom!
