This post is in partnership with Serena & Lily, a brand I love. All opinions here are my own.
Happy New Year everyone! So crazy to think we just started a brand-new decade. I’m so excited about 2020 and all the new inspo I’m planning to share with you guys.
Today I’m starting with a fun little bedroom update and how I’m getting cozy at night with Serena & Lily pajamas.
Getting Cozy At Night With Serena & Lily
I think as you get older, you realize how important a good night’s sleep is. And for me having a tranquil retreat to end the day in is equally important. Now add in some luxurious pajamas and let’s just say I’m one happy girl.
Serena & Lily Pajamas
Gone are the days of random sweats and old college tees, there is something so satisfying at the end of the day slipping into my grown-up jammies which is why these Serena & Lily pajamas are a must-buy!
I chose the vintage indigo and just love the pretty blue color. This linen pajama set is also super soft and lightweight, so even if your bed is layered with blankets for winter, you won’t be overheating.
These new pajamas are truly the ultimate treat for relaxation and comfort! There are many more beautiful colors and options at Serena & Lily including some gorgeous robes and slippers! Treat yourself for 2020, I promise you won’t regret it!
Speaking of creating a bedtime oasis, I could share these new pajamas without mentioning some other fun Serena & Lily additions to this space.

Serena & Lily Duvet Cover
First, I snagged this new duvet cover. Not straying from my love of white bedding but I love how this option adds in some beautiful texture to the space. The material is super soft and made me feel incredibly cozy, comfortable, and ready for a good night’s sleep. Don’t forget the matching shams!
Serena & Lily Nightstand
Saving the best addition for last, can we all stop and drool over my new nightstands? I fell in love with the pretty grey tones and the gorgeous texture of the hand-dyed raffia. And the brass detailing is just the perfect touch.
These nightstands are not only beautiful but functional. They provide an ample amount of storage to minimize nightstand clutter and the construction of the stand is very sturdy. I love how it really elevates the vibe of the room.
This space refresh was the perfect way to kick off 2020, and I hope you love it as much as I do!
Why Is Sleep Important for Your Health
Helps brain function
When you continuously don’t get enough sleep your brain’s performance can be greatly affected. It can cause you to feel like your head is “foggy” and make you slow to react. That’s why it’s extremely important to get enough sleep every night. With a good night’s sleep, you’ll find yourself to be more alert and clear-headed.
Reduces Disease Risk
Sleep deprivation can cause some pretty big health risks. But if you make sure you get enough shut-eye it can reduce your risk of heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and stroke. Plus, it will help to boost your immune system, which will help you fend off common viruses like cold and flu.
Emotional Control
Sometimes no matter how much sleep we get, our emotions can still get the best of us. However, getting a restful night’s sleep can generally help you keep your emotions in check. It will also help with your mental health, making it less likely for you to suffer from mood swings, depression, suicidal thoughts, and hazardous decisions.
Lower Weight Gain Risk
When you regularly suffer from a lack of sleep your body’s ability to regulate appetite hormones can be affected. Generally, people who have poor sleeping habits can have big appetites which can cause significant weight gain. If you’re trying to avoid gaining weight, be sure to get the recommended amount of quality sleep each night.
Getting a full night’s sleep is extremely important, for all of the reasons I listed above. But also, because it can make you generally happier and healthier. One of the best ways to make sure you’re ready for sleep is to make yourself as cozy and comfortable as possible. Find yourself a soft set of quality pajamas and get cozy at night with Serena & Lily.
