Shop For Sustainability with Pottery Barn

When it comes to the environment,  I like to think as a family we’re doing our part to help promote sustainability.  The every day choices we make all have an impact on the environment. And recycling, using energy efficient lightbulbs, swapping out metal straws for plastic are all simple things we’re doing to make a positive impact.

And when it comes to home decor, some of our favorite retailers are also making giant strides to promote sustainability as well! Pottery Barn is one of the top ten global purchasers of organic cotton and one of the largest retailers of responsibly sources wood.

They believe it starts with thoughtful design and production, continue with responsible sourcing practices and comes full circle as our purchases as consumers actually benefit the environment and global communities. Specifically 79% of Pottery Barn outdoor collections are made of wood certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, which supports sustainable forestry practices.

I recently picked up a few new items from the Pottery Barn Sustainability Shop for my outdoor space for summer.  I’ve been eyeing this Shutter Lantern for months, and loved the idea of doing a grouping paired with the Bristol Lantern.  I love the ambience these pretty lanterns have created on my back patio, not to mention how pretty they look glowing at night!

I’m linking some of my favorite items from Pottery Barn’s Sustainability Shop. And even better, today many of these items are still on major sale from their 4th of July sale. And remember even doing something as simple as shopping for home decor, we can help support the earth and improve sustainability!
