Creating a Timeless Bedroom with The Company Store

How to Create that Timeless Bedroom

Duvet Cover

I’m going to dive in with what I consider the base for everything else, a crisp clean white duvet cover! When you’re going for timeless, for me white is the way to go.  No matter how other decor may change, once you’ve invested in a nice white duvet or comforter you can layer on all the fun stuff in a variety of colors and textures! I chose this organic percale option with matching euro shams.

Sheets

Next on my list, sheets that are comfortable, soft, but also in a classic pattern.  I’m always a sucker for a stripe and is there anything more classic? I chose this organic cotton striped set.  I love they add a little pattern peeking out from my duvet, but went with a neutral color so they work with all my other accents.

Quilt

My third item is a coverlet or quilt layered at the end of the bed.  Not only does this provide a pop of color and texture, but an additional layer that is easy to use if needed. I’m so in love with this pretty silver matelasse option. It comes in a bunch of other beautiful colors too!

Throw Pillows

The next items to any classic bedroom is a personal favorite of mine, throw pillows! This is where you can make an impact, and I chose this beautiful dark blue pillow with cute pom moms, paired with a fun little linen fringed pillow.  I love the combination of textures, but kept the palette simple to keep it timeless.

Throw Blanket

Last up is a throw blanket, to add one more layer to keep it visually interesting but also the perfect accent to curl up with for a quick nap! Since we’re going for timeless here I went with this linen option with pretty tassel detailing!
