Weekend Edit 1.5
I cannot believe it’s the last day of Winter Break. We’ve really soaked it in the last couple days hanging at home together with zero plans on the calendar and it makes me realize how much I just love being home!
And clearly I’m passionate about decor, but it brings up a point that decor is so much more than just having a pretty home. For one I truly find joy in the process of being creative, and this year I’m all about doing more things that bring happiness into my life and saying no to things that don’t.
Secondly, I truly believe the spaces you create and live in can have a positive impact on you and even your relationships. That doesn’t mean our homes have to be filled with fancy designer pieces or even that every space needs to be perfectly decorated to be happy or feel fulfilled.
Setting Intentions
As we head into the new year I challenge you guys to set a clear intention for how you would like to see every space evolve, and think about what that means for you or your family.
Does investing in that new couch mean more time together for family games or movies? Does redesigning your entry space make you feel more confident when you invite guests into your home?
And does updating your bathroom create a space for you to unwind and replenish at the end of the day? Does having organized closets make you feel more ready to tackle all those never ending household chores?
Speaking of organizing, now that the kids are going back to school I have big plans of finally getting my house in order for 2020. My big projects include bathroom drawers, my pantry, and my desk cabinet.
Here are the items I’m planning on using and cannot wait to show you guys the finished project…sooner than later I hope!
And here are some other Amazon finds that are worth checking out.
And now that it’s back to reality and we’re fully in the usually freezing cold month of January, I’m excited to share what will definitely be helping me get though what can seem like the never ending month here in Chicago.
At the end of this month my family and I will be heading to Florida to board our Disney Cruise! This will actually be our 2nd time on a Disney Cruise, but last time my little guy was just over a year and now that he’s 3.5 and my oldest will be 9 we thought we were still in the sweet spot where everyone enjoys all things Disney!
This cruise even has a Marvel day at sea, which my boys are all about right now. Last time we pretty much focused on Princesses. I can’t wait to document the whole trip and share with guys. We’re doing a day trip excursion to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas which I’m super excited about too!
I’m got all thing vacay on my mind including the most important…bathing suits! I’m excited to order some of these Amazon finds to see if they live up to all the hype of so many fashion bloggers I follow!
I wanted to share some of the ones I’m eyeing for me and my girls!!
Good luck with the first Monday back everyone!
